Wine Glass Art

One day I was browsing through Pinterest and came across some beautiful wine glasses with different art work. I was amazed and I had to try it. I have always loved drawing and painting, but doing so on a glass had never crossed my mind.

So, I went to the store and bought my supplies; FolkArt Enamel Beginner Set (2-Ounce), ENAM8SET, glasses, and brushes. My goal was to paint flowers on several wine glasses and give them as Mother’s Day gifts. On the sly, I asked each mother what was her favorite flower and for those that did not know I selected a flower that I thought represented them.

Before going to the next step of painting the glasses, I did a little research as to what to do with the glasses after the painting was complete. I did not want all of my work to be washed down the drain after the first use.

I was a little surprised when different websites informed to put the glass in the oven. I was skeptical, I thought the glass would burst, but as it turned out…it worked.

The glasses turned out great! Take a look:

It may be a little difficult to to figure out, but this is a Gerber Daisy…

A Magonlia

Frangipani

Midnight Star Flower and a Rose…

Cherry Blossoms…

Calla Lily…

And some others…
